Events meet price.
Earnings, guidance, company news and developing narratives, examined alongside price action, volume and available ownership evidence.
What is new, is the instrument available, and is there a tradable window?
Catalyst-driven trading & research
We are building a private trading desk for opportunities across equities, crypto and prediction markets—connecting fresh catalysts, independent research and a defined plan for the trade.
Our own capital. A researched view.
The discipline to change it.
Different questions. A fuller investigation.
Select a specialist to see what it contributes. Different perspectives. Visible disagreements. No vote-based consensus.
DePappa Capital LLC
Our capital. Our research.
Responsibility for every decision.
Markets move when expectations change. We are building DePappa Capital around that moment.
We are a privately owned trading and research firm focused on short-duration opportunities across equities, crypto and prediction markets. An earnings surprise, a trader’s emerging thesis, changing positioning or an event repriced in real time can start the investigation.
We are developing an advantage through coordinated analysis: specialists examine the source, catalyst, finances, technical setup and positioning together. The result should be a clear decision—what to trade, under which conditions, what could go wrong, and when to exit.
Meet the research rolesThree markets. Different mechanics.
One research discipline, adapted to the instrument. Trading hours, liquidity, access and settlement change what a viable setup looks like.
Earnings, guidance, company news and developing narratives, examined alongside price action, volume and available ownership evidence.
What is new, is the instrument available, and is there a tradable window?
Digital-asset catalysts, venue-specific prices, volume and liquidity. A continuous market still needs a defined horizon and a clear exit.
Which venue and pair, what changed, and can the market absorb the intended size?
Event probabilities, competing evidence and market pricing. Resolution wording, timing, fees and depth belong in the analysis.
What must happen for the contract to settle, and what could the market be missing?
Research coverage does not imply execution access. Venue eligibility, data availability and trading permissions are checked separately.
The research team we are building
A company, a catalyst, a market, and a source can tell different stories. Our research architecture is designed to examine them together—without hiding the disagreement.
Explore a perspective
An idea does not need a news announcement to qualify. Report unread media or restricted posts explicitly; a social post is not an executable quote or a verified trade plan.
Separate business quality from short-duration trade potential. Weak long-term fundamentals are context for a tactical setup, not an automatic rejection of price momentum.
A catalyst can move price without changing long-term earnings. Preserve rumors as labeled hypotheses; do not turn repeated coverage of one source into independent confirmation.
Generic indicators do not reproduce a creator's proprietary method. Identify the timeframe, rules and data actually evaluated; missing higher-timeframe, order-flow or dealer-positioning inputs remain explicit.
Delayed filings are not live flow. A wallet transfer is not necessarily a trade; options activity does not by itself reveal dealer inventory or future direction.
A source starts the investigation. It does not settle it. Broad public discovery and selected sources work alongside primary evidence. Familiarity is not confirmation, and repetition is not corroboration.
Trading approach
Prepare before the move. Respond when conditions are met. Intraday momentum and developing event trades both need an entry thesis, a risk boundary and a reason to exit.
Identify the catalyst, its timing and the conditions that would make a trade worth considering. Earnings, rumors and X chatter are leads to investigate—not instructions to buy.
Specify an entry condition, protective stop, profit targets, position risk and time horizon. Compare potential reward with loss, spread, fees and slippage. Missing inputs stay visible.
Take profits against the plan. Reassess when price, liquidity or evidence changes. Include a time-based exit when the catalyst fails to develop; do not turn an expired short-term setup into an investment thesis.
Research can propose. Defined controls govern action.
Judgment and rules have different jobs.Combined methods
The aim is to find where different kinds of evidence agree—and where they do not. Several indicators derived from the same price series are not several independent confirmations.
Methods learned from other traders are hypotheses to evaluate. We do not claim to reproduce proprietary systems or have every specialized feed connected.
The platform we are building
The Desk combines hands-on market analysis with automated discovery and coordinated specialist research. A ticker entered by the owner and a lead found by the Scout can enter the same investigation.
Charts and market observations support the analyst. Attributable findings support the Chief’s recommendation. A saved plan connects the decision to its conditions and later review.
Look up an instrument, inspect charts, candles, volume and supported indicators, then hand a question to the team. Each observation needs its source and timestamp.
Combine broad discovery with selected accounts and owner-supplied leads. Keep the original claim, its context and the independent investigation together.
Bring specialist findings, Chief’s recommendation, entry conditions, protection and targets into one reviewable record.
Connect sizing, exposure limits, account availability and operating controls with the eventual outcome. Examine missed opportunities as well as trades taken.
Workspaces are being integrated and validated. A historical candle is not a streaming quote; supported feeds, freshness and account permissions determine what is available.
Broad intelligence.
Selected sources.
Specialist evidence.
Opposing views.
Entry, stop and targets.
Timing and invalidation.
Sizing and exposure.
Execution controls.
Observed outcomes.
Supported lessons.
Evidence stays attached. Sources, timestamps, uncertainty, and revisions belong with the decision.
The operating desk stays private. This website explains the approach, not the book, current signals, or internal controls.
Research does not end at the exit
A profitable outcome can hide a weak decision. A loss can follow a sound one. The review has to tell the difference.
Our learning framework is designed to examine winners, losers, and qualified opportunities not taken. The question is not just what happened, but what the evidence supports changing.
Keep the lesson.
Test the change.
A deliberate feedback loop
What did we know, what did we expect, and what would have changed the decision?
Examine source quality, the thesis, timing, execution, position management, and market conditions.
Test a supported change before applying it. Keep its history. Check whether it helped—and reverse it when it did not.
An outcome is an observation.
An improvement still has to be demonstrated.
The public journal
How we build the Desk, test the methods and learn from what happens. The Build Journal Editor prepares X drafts and longer articles from verified work, with Desk Chief coordinating owner review.
Turns verified build progress, research methodology and lessons into daily X drafts and substantive public journal articles. Sends drafts to Desk Chief for owner review; exact approval is required before publication.
A separate editorial role, not an additional trading analyst. It must distinguish implemented features, verified behavior and work still in development, and protect private account and licensed source data.
A clear distinction
The architecture described here is being developed and validated. It is not a claim of live autonomous trading, an audited track record, or guaranteed performance. We do not accept outside investors.
